So November was a bit of a blip, I mean did it even really happen as it went by so quick. November was also a struggle on the weather front for me, the transition from cold to really cold icy weather. FYI I have had my winter puffy coat that I refer to as the sleeping bag out since beginning of September.
My empties for November were a bit of a muddle really, some products I was just using up in the attempt to finally finish them and some were regular staples that I purchase often.
- E.L.F Poreless Putty Primer
Great if you need a smooth base for your foundation however, I found that it did not minimise my pores. So the search for the perfect all round primer continues.
- NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray
A great inexpensive setting spray that made my makeup last all day. My everyday foundation is matt so when I used the spray it gave it a dewy glow which I loved. Definitely, will be repurchasing.
- Tom Ford Lipstick in Pusssycat
A staple in my makeup bag, this is the perfect nude/pink everyday lipstick. Highly pigmented, long lasting and matt.
- Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
The perfect dupe of the cult classic Eve Lom Cleanser Balm with half of the price tag. I tend to use this as part of my evening routine, great at taking off makeup even tough waterproof eyeliner without stripping your skin.
- Caudalie Beauty Elixir
A lot of people don’t really know about this product and its a little hard to place it in one category. As its an all round beauty item, from setting your makeup, to refreshing your face throughout the day. I love it with its spa like scent combined with some essential skin glow boosting ingredients. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.
- Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser
Great at minimising my pores and leaving my skin soft and untextured, ready for foundation or concealer. However, you have to be careful of how much product you use as to much can leave you with oily skin.
- La Roche Posey Effacler Duo
This has saved my skin, I discovered this product after suffering from many years of adult acne. Great at keeping pimples at bay, moisturising and ideal for sensitive skin.
- The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside
This really helped to brighten my skin but it took me a while to figure out how to best use it. I first tried it alone which left my skin sticky and took forever to sink in. I then tried the serum by mixing it with my moisturiser and it worked perfectly.
- The Ordinary Niacinamide
I wanted this product to work for me so badly as I had read so many great reviews but after using it for over a month and a half as part of my morning routine. I seen no results. The product is meant to reduce pores and even out skin texture. Maybe I should have tried it longer? I am still quite unsure.
