I have never been one to have much of a sweet tooth and to be honest, I have always picked savoury snacks over a piece of cake.
Now since I have adopted a dairy free lifestyle its been even harder to be enticed by the dessert menu at a resturant.
One evening after dinner my husband suggested to go for dessert, I was instantly apprehensive but he assured me that this particular dessert place has a huge array of sorbets.
Convinced I headed with him to The Waffle Project.
Located in between the quite surbubs of Hall green and the never ending Stratford Road. The place is a little hard to miss with its neon sign marking its territory.
Once inside the deco is a little rough around the edges adding to the relaxed and chilled out ambiance of the venue.
The menu is varied with a range of Crepes, Waffles (their speciality), Movenpick Ice-Cream and for us dairy intolerant/healthy types a massive choice of Sorbets.
We ordered one ice-cream sundae with Pistachio and Hazelnut with toppings and one Mango sorbet (any guesses which one was mine?).
My sorbet was perfectly sweet and slightly tangy and from the speed my husband ate his sundae I assume that his was pretty good too.
From the service, ambiance and our desserts all were great.
