Alex Steinherr Skincare- Review

Over the last few years I have become a little obsessed with having a good skincare routine and really looking into new products that I can invest in.  Now I have never been that girl with good skin but I have always tried to work with what I have.

The main issues I have had with my skin include adult acne, enlarged pores and Vitiligo. My skin type I would say is sensitive and combination which basically restricts a large range of skin products that I can try without having a reaction to.

Throughout my teens and early 20’s I was under the impression that my  skincare routine which just centred around cleansing and moisturising was enough….oh how wrong was I.

I have now added an toner, SPF and eye cream and night cream which has made the world of difference to how my makeup sits and overall skin texture feels.

Another addition to my skincare routine are my Sunday Facials this is where I spend a few hours on a Sunday evening giving myself at home facial by using a good mask.

Masks are such a good way to detox, brighten, balance and clear out your skin. I have tried many over the years and have also purchased masks whenever I am travelling (can you believe we don’t have a Sephora in the UK).

My most recent favourite mask I have purchased is from the Alex Steinherr for Primark skincare range. For those of you who are new in the beauty community and don’t know who she is let me give you a quick overview – Alex Steinherr is the beauty editor for Glamour UK and has a vast knowledge and a passion for everything beauty and skincare. She created this exclusive and affordable skincare products to reach out to audience of all ages and skin types. After all skincare should not be super expensive or unattainable.

When the range launched back at the beginning of this year I managed to get hold of a few items that I would like to share with you all

Plump & Glow Sheet Mask

This is a sheet mask which helps to even and plump up your skin. The main ingredients include amino acid, hyaluronic acid and Korean camellia.

Result: If you are looking for a instant glow and lift this is the one for you. I have been using this on a regular basis and its the perfect sheet mask that gives my skin an instant pick me up when needed.

Super Detox Clay Mask

A purifying mask for a deep cleanse and perfect for unclogging pores. This is great if you have acne prone skin as it helps keep spots at bay.

Result: I have only used this once a month as its quite an intense mask and I found that it left my skin clear. I have also used this as a spot treatment which has helped dry them out.

Sleep Spa Face Mask

A complete hydrating mask that is almost like a serum with calming camomile and willowherb which helps boost moisture and refine the tone/texture of your skin.

Result: This is a great mask to help calm your skin if you are having an reaction. I have not used this very often as I found it quite similar to my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.

Sleep Spa Eye Mask

A plumping and hydrating eye mask, this has a serum like texture and sinks into your skin instantly not heavy at all.

Result: This product surprised me the most after a fortnight of using it regularly I noticed a big difference in the lines around my eyes plumping up. This is my new staple for my under eye area.

To be honest I had no doubt that the whole range would be great. I feel skincare has become so exclusive and there are so many products out there on the market that are simply not affordable.

Alex Steinherr has created a no nonsense, does exactly what its supposed and affordable skincare.

Have you tried any Alex Steineer Skincare products?
