Bagel & Beans Review- Amsterdam

Last year while on a quick weekend trip in Amsterdam we went to Bagels and Beans for breakfast twice.

This is a Amsterdam based chain breakfast/brunch/ lunch restaurants that pride themselves serving a huge range of bagels and unbelievable fresh coffee. The menu has a vast range of gluten free and dairy free option together with organic ingredients.

On our first morning in Amsterdam we had breakfast here as it was located opposite our hotel and had dairy free milk for coffees ( I have been dairy free now for 5 yrs. now).

Upon entering we were welcomed by the smell of fresh coffee brewing and a cosy yet shabby chic kind of deco.

We took a table near to the window for a spot of people watching and scoured through the vast menu. The main element they serve with all of their dishes is a Bagel. You can basically pick the bagel you want an option of multigrain, sesame, honey and plain to name a few and then you choose what filling you want, which a broken down into savoury, sweet, hot or cold.

We ordered two coconut milk latte’s and…..

A warm sesame seed bagel with goats cheese, walnuts and a good portion of honey. The sharpness of the cheese is balanced out by the sweetness of the honey. A great combination of flavours.

I took the multisided bagel with turkey, avocado, pesto and pine nuts. Wholesome and tasty. The ingredients were fresh and the bagel was freshly baked.

Everything from the food, ambiance and service in Bagel and Beans was of high standard and exactly what we were craving.

In total our bill came unto around €25 which is not too bad considering how good the whole experience was.

Are you a big fan of Bagels? If so, what are your favourite fillings?
