I purchased my first ever piece of Charlotte Tilbury makeup 2 years ago for my wedding. The brand was then still up and coming but making a unique place for itself within the beauty community.
The rose gold packaging, the great array of colors for any skin tone and above all the unique way it sold itself as easy to use. I instantly fell in love with it all.
Now this is not to say that It was cheap, Charlotte Tilbury is on par as the same price tag as Tom Ford and Chanel, however what sets their products aside as being different is the formula and above all for me the colour palette.
I purchased two lipsticks from the range which I thought was a good starting point, I mean you can never have enough lipsticks in your makeup bag can you?
The first of the purchases was a bright blue tone pink lipstick from their Hot Lips collection called Electric Poppy. The colour was inspired by British model and actress Poppy Delevingne. This is a matt lipstick that claims to make your lips look fuller and plumper. The lipstick went on very smooth and was very pigmented. It left my lips looking matt yet hydrated which I loved as there are not many lipsticks on the market that actually do this. The lipstick only required touch up once during the whole time I wear it (typically for about 10 hour period).
Secret Selma a Matt Revolution Lipstick was the second purchase I made, this was more of an everyday lip colour. A plum rose toned almost a pinky nude colour, which was the perfect match to my own lip colour only with more of a glow. Again, just like the previous lipstick this went on very well and lasted quite well throughout the day. The one thing I would say about this lip colour that it seems to be very universal like the famous Charlotte Tilbury Pillow talk lipstick, as I have seen a few of my friends with different skin tone wearing this and it suited them.
Both Lipsticks were priced around the £24 mark and they are worth every penny as they last pretty long. I also went back and purchased the Filmstar Bronzer and Highlighter but that review is for another blog post.
Have any of you purchased any Charlotte Tilbury products? If so, which ones are your favorites? Let me know below in the comments section, I would love to know.
